Tubal Ligation reversal cost by Dr. William Greene
We have worked very hard to reduce the cost of tubal
ligation reversal. All patients pay a $6,900 surgical deposit. Charges
for out services exceed the $6,900 surgical deposit.
If you have insurance, we will try to help you recover your deposit, or
a portion thereof, after your reversal. If your insurance company provides
benefits for tubal ligation reversal, we will file claims on behalf of all
providers (Dr. Greene, Lakeshore Surgical Center, and Anesthesia) with your
insurance. Your deposit will be applied to your co-payment responsibility.
If the deposit exceeds that of your co-payment responsibility, when your
insurance company pays, a refund will be issued to you.
If you do not have insurance, the $6,900 becomes your early payment discount
and that is all you pay, period.

Also included:
• Dye testing of the repaired tubes to make sure they
are open. Some doctors do this, most don’t. We feel that is
important to make sure that you have the best result.
• Multiple layer repair of the fallopian tubes. The
tube has three layers, most reversal clinics just sew the outside
of the tube, it’s much quicker and easier.
We have no argument with those that don’t do it the way we
do, but we noticed that when we began closing the tube in separate
layers the dye tests were better. It’s a matter of not just
sewing the tubes together but also sewing them open.
If you are going to fly to have your tubes reversed,
please remember we are near the Atlanta airport. Because Atlanta is
an airline hub, most flights directly to Atlanta are less expensive
than those to smaller cities. You may have to fly farther to get to
us but it will usually cost you less. |
Payment needs to be received two weeks prior to your appointment. We prefer
Visa, MasterCard, money order, or cashier's check. We have to charge .005%
on all credit card transactions (which is actually less than they charge
us).
Financing is available. If you go to Financing
Options, you will find a list of companies that will finance our surgery.
If you want us to try to recover your surgical deposit after your surgery
we will need to have your surgery precerted. We have a company that does
this for us. You will need to tell us when you make your deposit that
you want to use your insurance. Some insurance companies pay little or
nothing for infertility services so don’t have too high expectations.
Sometimes we can get most or all of your deposit covered but we require
payment prior to your reversal so our costs are covered.
